February 18 – Beloved Washington Scottish Tenor Drummer, Ramina Legener passes away at age 30.
Tenor Drummer, Ramina Legener passed away unexpectedly on February 18, 2011. She was only 30 years old. Ramina started with the band in May of 2009 as a beginning Tenor Drummer. She had appeared with the band in Highland Games Mass Bands and in parades. She was very enthusiastic and her band activity was a very important part of her life. Ramina’s gracious presence both as a friend and brand member will be sorely missed.

2009 marks the 100 year AYPE centennial celebration happening right here in Seattle! Being the oldest pipe band in Washington state, meant our compulsory observance and participation in this once in a lifetime event.
